Saariselkä provides exceptionally good opportunities for
cross-country skiing. The illuminated tracks, versatile
terrain in the fells and long skiing season offer the skiers
a variety of alternatives to chose from. After spending the
autumn holidays in October, you can come back to ski on the
same snow at Easter!
The wild nature of Lapland next to the Fell Resort gives
cross-country skiers an excellent opportunity to acquaint
themselves with the environment and local people, such as
Lintu-Antti (the Birdman Antti) with his fascinating stories.

| The total length of the ski tracks is 220 km, 34 kilometers
of which are illuminated. There are widened ski tracks between
Saariselkä - Laanila - Kakslauttanen. The 2,5 kilometer -
long first-snow track will be covered with snow and made ready
for skiers in week 41.
