Ivalo is the centre of Inari's rural district, Northern Lapland's commercial centre and much more. In Ivalo you'll find Northern Lapland's most varied services and everything else necessary from fishing permits to crafts, accommodation and programme service providers.

Doing business is easy and flexible in an relaxed atmosphere and in the population centre parking is free. Well -stocked supermarkets are open every day of the week - from early morning to late at evening, even on Sundays.

Ivalo is the main population centre in Inari municipality with most varied services. Besides shops and supermarkets you can find variety of other services from the village like town hall, health centre, police and library. Population is ca. 7 000 people in Inari municipality of which two-thirds live in Ivalo. You can reach Saariselkä Tourist Centre or Inari village after about half an hour drive from Ivalo.
