Inarin Kultahovi -logo

Close to the hotel you will find SIIDA, Sámi museum and Nature Centre, which offers versatile exhibitions and happenings on Sámi culture and surrounding nature. In SIIDA you can also get information about wilderness trails and best fishing spots. The modern Sámi culture is also exhibited in the many craft shops of the village.

On Lake Inari you will get acquainted with our nature. On the cruise boat you will get to visit Ukko, our ancient sacrificial island. For fishermen there are many choices: trout, whitefish, grayling, arctic charr, pike and perch. The closest spot is River Juutua - flyfishers catch big trout here especially towards the end of the summer.

In spring is our main event: reindeer herders from all over Lapland gather for the Reindeer Races. During midwinter Skabmagovat - reflections on the endless night -festival offers different cultural happenings.

Inarin Kultahovi is an excellent base for walkers, skiers and trekkers. Marked routes lead you to interesting destinations, e.g. Pielpajärvi wilderness church, which dates from the 1700's. The nearby Lemmenjoki national park is the largest in Finland. After a boat trip on the river you can follow the marked trails to the old and present day gold digging areas.

Inari Reindeerfarm 14 km from the village is owned by a Sámi family, the Paadars. They arrange interesting programmes by reservation all year around.

Our hotel is situated on a snowmobile route. Also skiing tracks and walking paths are accessible directly from the hotel. We can make all arrangements for your holiday programmes, just contact us!
