Joint ticket for exhibitions and lake cruise
In this summer it is possible to visit the Siida exhibitions and join a Lake Inari cruise with a joint ticket. Daily cruises on Lake Inari start in early June and from the beginning of June the Siida exhibitions are open from 9 - 20 every day.
Siida – Sámi Museum and Nature Centre and the company Lake & Snow Inari, which arranges the Lake Inari cruises, are situtated next to each other in Inari village. In this summer it is possible to buy a joint ticket for Siida and a Lake Inari cruise. Joint tickets are sold in Siida, in Holiday Village Inari and on the MY Inari III ship. With a joint ticket you can visit the Siida exhibitions and join a Lake Inari cruise on the same day. The price for the joint ticket is 26€/adult and 13€/child.
Siida is open daily 9-20 (1.6.-20.9.2012).

The Lake Inari cruise season will start again after most of the ice has melted. Till now ice is still covering the lake! Regular cruises will probably start on 7.6.12. In the beginning of the summer the cruises will start at 13:00 and from 23.6.-12.8.12 we have two cruises per day: at 13:00 and at 17:00. This summer we will also organize special cruises - more information about that later!

Most likely we did this season’s last snowmobile safari today. The trail markings will be removed from the ice of the lakes this and next week. During this winter we once again renewed our snowmobiles. Almost all of our snowmobiles are new now (in use since 2011 or later).

Well served and dear MS Inari II has now left Inari on board of a truck. It got a new home and work from Helsinki.

There have been lots of Northern Lights this winter and they have been great! It is possible to observe Northern Lights at least until beginning of April. After that the nights will be too light.

Snow is covering the ground and it is the time of the Arctic Lights, even though we have not had very cold temperatures yet. During autumn and the beginning of winter we have seen quite many and beautiful Northern Lights. The coming winter should be very good for observing them!

Cruising season is finished. We are happy with the new ship after its first summer. It needs much less fuel than the previous MS Inari II and it runs on the water smoothly. During the coming winter we will do all the necessary adjustments and finish the decoration. Now we are just waiting for the winter and the beginning of the snowmobile season.

The construction of MS Inari III is progressing on schedule. The cruise ship will be in use next summer.
MS Inari III will be registered for 99 passengers and all the passengers can go inside if necessary.
Compared to the current cruise ship the interiors of the new vessel are less stringent and thus allow more various events.

We can already see nice autumn colours in Inari and the colours will get brighter during the coming days.
The cruising season is still on, so you can join us for a cruise and see the autumn colours from the lake. Regular cruises are still every day at 14:00 (2pm). The last regular cruise is on Mon 20.9. at 14:00.
Cruising tickets 16 €/adult and 8 €/child 4 – 12 years old.
On our troll fishing trips we have caught a good amount of fish. You can join us! Fishing trips are still done by request in September and October.

Spring has arrived in Inari. At the moment we live between the seasons, if you think about the activities. It is time for us to put the snowmobiles into the summer store and prepare the boats for the coming summer season. In the last few days the temperatures have been very warm or even hot in Inari: up to +25 degrees! During these warm days snow and ice have melted rapidly. The last snowmobile safari this winter was on 6.5.2010. The cruising season will start at the beginning of June. The time of the Midnight Sun begins in Inari on 22.5.2010. Then the sun will not set at all.

Last Saturday was the vernal equinox which means that now the day is longer than the night. The weather has been very nice and sunny. Again we visited the Arctic Ocean on snowmobiles for a couple of times. We have 3 longer tours again at this coming weekend and a few more at the beginning of April. Now there is a good amount of snow all around Lapland. The building of M/S Inari III has already started and the plans of the interior are almost finished. Next summer we will be able to test it on Lake Inari and it will be used for cruises in summer 2011.

There have been lots of nice snowmobile safaris in Inari and in Saariselkä this winter and on our ice-fishing trips we got a good amount of fish. In this winter season we have once again sold old snowmobiles and bought new ones. During January and February we have been on a few longer snowmobile safaris. There will be more of the longer safaris in March.Many nights and days in the past week were quite cold here in Inari. The temperature will not rise a lot - the weather forecast promises still cold temperatures (below -20).

Lake&Snow Inari has ordered the first "Fantan 170" boat from "Fantan Catamaran Inari", which will be called M/S Inari III once it has been launched. The new boat will be in use in summer 2011 and replace M/S Inari II. The builders have designed it with respect for nature and according to environmental regulations. It will be registered for 99 passengers. There will be many new facilities and modern technology like and underwater camera and navigation systems.

The Arctic night is over in Inari. During Christmas and the New Year time there was a nice atmosphere in Inari and we had visitors from all over the world. The temperatures outside were quite cold...Next week there is the Travel Fair in Helsinki. You can meet our representative there on professional days at stand 3 f 21. It would be nice to see you!

We got the first snow in Inari at the beginning of October. A couple of weeks ago there was a bit warmer period and snow melted in the surroundings of Lake Inari. At this very moment it is snowing again. The temperatures have been below zero long enough for smaller lakes to have already quite a good ice sheet. Today the sun is above the horizon for about 5 hours. Days get shorter and shorter and in early December the sun does not rise and the arctic night begins.

The nights are getting darker & longer & cooler and when the upper layer of water close to surface gets cooler, the trouts will swim up closer to the surface. We will take people for fishing tours as long in autumn as it is possible. Lake Inari cruises are every day at 14:00 up to 20.9.09. For groups cruises are possible by request up to end of September.

We have had a beautiful summer in Inari. Now in beginning of August the weather is warm and sunny. Water temperature in Lake Inari is about 16 degrees of Celsius and people are swimming. Fishermen have got good amount of fish. Cloudberries are ready to be picked. On 21. – 22.8.09 there is Ijahis Idja – music festival in Inari.

Our snowmobile and ice fishing season ended about 1½ weeks ago. We know that some people have still gone out on Lake Inari for ice fishing in end of last week, but we have to say, that you really need to know the ice situation well to go out there.

During Eastern we had warm days and so called spring winter started. It was nice to stay outside and enjoy. Now we have had couple cooler days and nights, so we ended up with some nicely hardened snow in forests and lakes.

Yesterday we got 4,5 kg lake trout from our fishing net. It was exciting to our Belgian and French clients too!

We had our first clients on our new snowmobile safari to Lemmenjoki. The trail it self is new. It was opened late last winter, so you could say that this trail is brand new. The landscapes along the trail are magnificent.

We hade some quite cold days (-30 degrees). On the beginning of the week we got about 20cm new snow. Conditions for snowmobile safaris are now very good! Nature looks beautiful and days are already bright and long. In the evening and night it is still dark, so you can see Northern Lights too.

Matka 2009 Nordic Travel fair in Helsinki. It is January and in Inari we have snow and especially lot of ice. The temperatures are low as they should be at this time of the year. But for us it is time to travel south to Helsinki for Travel fair.
